www.hope08.com

So, last night I had the opportunity to join with about 500 others from various churches and groups at the Wythenshawe Forum here in Manchester for the "kick-off" prayer event for the launch of Hope 08 here in the UK. Manchester is in the midst of a 24/7 /365 days of prayer in 2007 in preparation for a year of "doing more in word and deed" in 2008 and I have the privilege of helping gather the NTC family for 3 days of non-stop prayer next week - starting from our Chapel service on Tuesday at 11am until our celebration communion on Friday at 12pm, followed by a meal together...such a great combination of two of my loves... intercessory prayer and food! Maybe its a combination of my visiting around churches, or my 'church in the city' module, or the whole emphasis of my degree on urban mission, but I just sense perhaps the 'kairosness' of the timing of being here, and being here NOW... so very grateful to be here, I suppose I shall sound like a broken record soon, but really...soooooo good...

Happy Birthday Brother! My brother Michael Allen and son Liam enjoying Elbow Falls. 28 never looked so good! I count it a real privilege to have him in my life, as friend, fellow Jesus follower, mischief maker and challenger/supporter. I value our history, and celebrate his present moments as dad, husband, entrepreneur(?) and DIY house reno guy! Here's to a great year ahead bro! Much love and prayers.

Here's a picture of the cast and crew of the soon to be released brilliant "Case of the Missing Car" movie created for my dearest little nephew Liam who turns 2 in April. Shown are Erica, Mary and her sister's Harriet and Ruth. Also shown is the key antagonist/car thief, Teddy Bear. Reviews to be posted shortly...Ah and just look at little Liam...what's not to love?

Springtime in Didsbury

Well, what a great day in the neighborhood...sun is shining, streets are full of daffodil's, air is crisp and clear and life is good. Here's a pic of my visit to Mr.Darcy's "Pemberley" last fortnight...how wonderful..went in for soup and tea on a wet, misty day with Mary and her assorted family members...how great to trudge through the muck of farmer's fields, chasing away spray painted sheep, and come up on a view of this! How clever the various assorted steps built to get over and around stone and barbwire fences, all in the name of public rambling, walking, hiking, etc. Very delightful and was told the perfect way to enjoy the English countryside, with a good raincoat and friends to pull you up out of the accidental slide into the occasional bog...

Welcome to my world, if you were just down the street I'd say come on up for a brew of tea or coffee, maybe a cookie or warm chocolate brownie...and then we'd chat and catch up on all things great and small...
Here's to a great new start at sharing life with others - Hello friends hello...:)

Tee Hee, I'm a blogger too!
